Alma, a 10th grade student at the inclusive 'Tzamarot' high school in Tel Aviv, has always loved words. In her first year of high school, she joined the school newspaper team and was surprised by the ease with which words flowed from her. She found herself expressing feelings and thoughts in new ways she didn't know existed.
We strive to make our schools places where everyone feels they belong and are partners. One way to do this is by allowing students to design school spaces and classrooms.
The staff at the inclusive school in Jerusalem considered how to turn the report card day into an inclusive celebration for the entire community. They created a 'Festival of Inclusion' and invited students’ families.
